Wrestling legend Kevin Sullivan — who was famously considered one of Hulk Hogan‘s greatest rivals within the Nineties — has sadly handed away.
The WWE confirmed his dying on Friday morning … writing in a press release that Sullivan was “a unique and influential figure in sports-entertainment history.”
“Sullivan found success both in the ring and behind the scenes with his penchant for far out ideas that pushed creative boundaries,” the org. added.
Sullivan was 74 years outdated.
The wrestler started his novice profession within the Nineteen Seventies … and made a reputation for himself nationally when he entered Championship Wrestling from Florida within the 80s.
He reduce promos because the “Prince of Darkness” — and sparked up rivalries with Dusty Rhodes and Barry Windham, amongst a bunch of others.
Sullivan finally made his option to the WCW … and within the mid-Nineties, he kicked off a feud with Hogan that led to some legendary matches between the 2 titans.
He later obtained locked in a tense storyline with Chris Benoit as effectively.
In retirement, he labored as a booker for the WCW.

Following the information of his dying, Ric Aptitude remembered Sullivan as “An All Time Great Athlete & Friend.”
