Excellent news for Shannon Sharpe … the viral video of his Wednesday afternoon romp will not have an effect on his day job — as TMZ Sports activities has realized ESPN is not going to self-discipline its star for his unintentional intercourse stream.
A supply on the community tells us … Sharpe’s absence from Thursday’s “First Take” had nothing to do with what went down on his Instagram some 24 hours in the past — as his normal days off are Thursdays and Fridays.
The supply says Sharpe is anticipated again on Monday — and no punishment in anyway is coming his manner.
Sharpe, who’s been with ESPN since 2023, only recently signed a contract extension to stick with the community — agreeing again in June to proceed debating Stephen A. Smith on “First Take” for the foreseeable future.
As for Sharpe’s stance on the entire X-rated scene … his Instagram account initially claimed he was hacked — though on his “Nightcap” present on Wednesday night, he fessed as much as it really being him.

He chalked the entire situation as much as not being very tech-savvy — and he mentioned he was “embarrassed” for it.
He added that he is “disappointed” in himself for the way the aftermath of all of it affected folks in his circle — though he was at the least finally capable of share a couple of laughs along with his co-host, Chad Johnson.
