Rapper Too Brief is getting again into the film biz together with his supervisor, David Weintraub, and their first movie collectively has some main star energy!

The Hollywood heavyweights are government producers on the drama flick, “Freaky Tales,” that includes a slew of A-Record actors … Pedro Pascal, Tom Hanks, Jay Ellis, Ben Mendelsohn, Jack Champion, Ji-young Yoo, rapper Symba, singer Normani, and Too Brief himself.

“Freaky Tales” is a wild journey by means of Eighties Oakland, California, giving an in-depth view into the town’s music and sports activities scenes … particularly hip hop and basketball. Brief performs the position of a crooked cop, and Oakland rapper Symba takes on the a part of Brief as a teenager.


TMZ just lately caught up with Brief, who tells us he is thrilled about his comeback position … as you might know, we final noticed him within the 1993 movie, “Menace II Society.”

Brief says, “When Directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck brought the project to David Weintraub and me, it was something we had to be a part of as it was a culturally defining story about the insanity of what the Bay culture is really about. This movie is a totally original story but based on legends from the Bay.”

Weintraub additionally weighed in, saying the “movie is raw, real, and completely off the rails in the best way.” He provides, “Too Short and I spent years working with the writers and directors to bring this project to life.”

What’s extra, the flick is devoted to the late Angus Cloud — who stars as Travis within the movie — and Brief’s Brother Wayne “Loc” Shaw, who just lately handed away. “Freaky Tales” premiered on the Sundance Movie Pageant in 2024, and it is opening in theaters on April 4.
