‘Promoting Sundown’ Star Jason Oppenheim Accuses L.A. Landlords of Value Gouging

Jason Oppenheim says L.A. landlords are Screwing Sundown as an alternative of promoting it … calling them out for value gouging amid the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.

The truth tv mainstay sat down for an interview on the present BBC One’s “Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg” … and, he speak about how he despatched a shopper to a landlord in L.A. who tried to overcharge them.

Oppenheim swears this landlord initially tried to lease the place for $13K a month … however, when his shopper went and provided $20K after the fires started, the owner demanded $23K — a mark up of practically 100% over unique asking.


Jason says, “There are price gouging laws in California, they’re just being ignored right now, and this isn’t the time to be taking advantage of situations.”

JO says everybody’s in tears over the devastation in L.A. … some due to the smoke from the fires and others due to the emotional toll this catastrophe has taken.

Officers in Los Angeles — together with Sheriff Robert Luna and L.A. police chief Jim McDonnell — have warned residents about potential scammers … saying tragedy can carry out the worst in humanity, so keep vigilant.


Pacific Palisades Fire In Malibu

In whole the Los Angeles wildfires have burned greater than 40K acres … and, killed a minimum of 16 folks. Many within the Pacific Palisades neighborhood, Malibu, West L.A. and round Pasadena in northeastern Los Angeles have misplaced their houses.

And, it seems like Jason’s frightened they could lose much more if somebody would not step in to deal with the value gouging.
