Cologne-based designers Martin Schneider and Dominik Schmitz of the Open Press Venture are again with a brand new design that scales up miniature printmaking. Presently funding on Kickstarter, The Postcard Printing Press is the most important miniature mannequin the duo have created to date, though it nonetheless matches on the palm of a hand and may be neatly tucked right into a backpack for simple transport.
As its title suggests, the 3D-printed, tabletop system is designed for paper about 4 x 9 inches large and is able to all sorts of intaglio printing, from etching and engraving to linocuts and woodcuts.
