The standard hype and pleasure surrounding the Dallas Cowboys has been muted this offseason, and it’s partly due to the contract scenario the group is going through.

It has arguably its three largest stars — broad receiver CeeDee Lamb, move rusher Micah Parsons and quarterback Dak Prescott — in line for contract extensions, which prevented it from making any actual offseason additions.

Of the three, Prescott’s contract scenario is essentially the most regarding, merely due to the place he performs and since he has been the face of the franchise since 2016.

With simply a few weeks to go earlier than the beginning of coaching camp, there’s a new concern — his well being.

He was seen with a strolling boot on his proper foot, and it’s reportedly due to a sprain, per Juan Carlos Vazquez.

“Dak Prescott has been wearing a protective boot on his right foot because of a foot sprain, a person with knowledge of his health told The Dallas Morning News.”

Prescott had an excellent 2023 season during which he threw for 4,516 yards and an NFL-high 36 touchdowns whereas posting a career-high 105.9 passer score, and it led to him being mentioned as an MVP candidate late within the season.

He led the Cowboys to a 12-5 end, making it the third 12 months in a row during which they gained a dozen common season video games.

However after all, the bone of rivalry for Prescott is his persistently poor performances within the playoffs, and this 12 months within the wild-card spherical in opposition to the Inexperienced Bay Packers, he threw two early interceptions that allowed the Packers to construct a 27-0 lead.

If he doesn’t rectify this downside, there may be all the time the prospect Dallas will resolve to maneuver on from him after the 2024 season.
