San Francisco 49ers vast receiver Brandon Aiyuk appears to all of the sudden have one foot out the door, because the staff is now open to discussing trades involving him and reportedly has the framework in place for not less than one such commerce.

It’s a reversal of its prior stance of refusing to even entertain commerce situations involving Aiyuk.

Aiyuk has been on the lookout for a profitable contract extension because the begin of the offseason and just lately requested to be traded, and now the cat could also be out of the bag for the Niners.

Nick Wright mentioned on Fox Sports activities 1’s “First Things First” that they “made a significant misstep” in how they’ve dealt with the Aiyuk scenario and mentioned maybe they need to’ve seemed to commerce him previous to the draft.

“The 49ers have made a significant misstep in how they’ve handled this. … At this point, I think they’re trading Brandon Aiyuk.”

Wright’s argument is that maybe the Niners might’ve gotten a greater return bundle for Aiyuk earlier than the draft.

Because it stands, one attainable vacation spot for the 26-year-old is the Cleveland Browns, and reportedly, such a commerce might internet the Niners Amari Cooper, a veteran vast receiver who has made the Professional Bowl 5 instances.

Such a return might make buying and selling Aiyuk much more palatable, though Cooper, like Aiyuk, is heading into the ultimate 12 months of his present contract.

Aiyuk has regularly improved since coming into the NFL within the 2020 season, and final 12 months, he posted 75 catches for 1,342 yards and 7 touchdowns.

San Francisco is firmly in win-now mode, and thus receiving draft compensation and a wideout who solely supplies supplemental manufacturing wouldn’t permit them to proceed to noticeably contend for a Tremendous Bowl championship.
