Christopher Redman displayed a dedication past the decision of responsibility with all his sufferers on the Silver Star pre-eclampsia ward. He would seem at odd instances to verify on somebody’s progress, or their child’s, having biked from his house in Oxford.

We knew him from 1986-87, when our son Alex was born six weeks early, and thrived after remedy. Our second son, Chris, born in 1992, 14 weeks early, didn’t make it to Oxford, regardless of my pleas to make use of the air ambulance from Walsall. Christopher stored in contact with Walsall Manor hospital all through my keep.

The boys at the moment are of their 30s, and we now have maintained contact with the Silver Star unit to this present day. How do you say “thank you” to an individual who enabled you to have wholesome youngsters? It’s one thing that we’ll always remember.
