John Brenkus — the host of the Emmy-award successful present “Sport Science” — died by suicide final week, the Virginia Division of Well being, Workplace of the Chief Medical Examiner tells TMZ Sports activities.
Brenkus’ household introduced the passing to the general public on Sunday — writing in an announcement on X that Brenkus “had been battling depression.”
“John lost his fight with this terrible illness on May 31st, 2025,” they stated. “His heartbroken family and friends request privacy at this time, and encourage anyone who is struggling with depression to seek help.”
