COTE D’IVOIRE

U.S. citizens are allowed to enter with a negative P.C.R. test taken within 48 hours of arrival at the Abidjan airport. The U.S. Embassy advises that travelers from the United States should locate a facility that can produce same-day results to comply with this requirement. All arriving air passengers must also complete an online declaration and will be subject to rapid testing on arrival. Departing passengers must complete a second declaration and present a negative P.C.R. test from no more than two days before travel, regardless of the testing requirements in their destination countries. The C.D.C. risk assessment for Covid-19 is Level 3: High.

CROATIA

Visitors from the United States may enter with evidence of paid tourist accommodation and one of the following pieces of documentation: proof of full vaccination, with the final dose received in the previous 365 days, but no fewer than 14 days before arrival; a negative result from a P.C.R. test taken within 72 hours of arrival; a negative antigen test taken in the 48 hours before arrival; or proof of having recovered from the coronavirus more than 11, but less than 365, days earlier. Children under 12 are exempt from the requirements, provided they are traveling with an adult who meets them. Visitors are also asked to complete an entry form before departure. The C.D.C. risk assessment for Covid-19 is Level 4: Very high.

CUBA

General tourism is not permitted, but fully vaccinated Americans are allowed to visit to see family and under certain professional and humanitarian circumstances. All incoming passengers must complete an online sworn statement before they depart for Cuba, provide proof of full vaccination, and obtain a negative result from a P.C.R. test conducted no more than 72 hours before travel. Health authorities will randomly select passengers for Covid-19 screening on arrival. The C.D.C. risk assessment for Covid-19 is Level 4: Very high.

CYPRUS

All arriving passengers must complete an online form before departure; those 12 and over, regardless of vaccination status, must also present a negative P.C.R. test result from the previous 72 hours. Arriving passengers will be required to undergo a test on arrival in Cyprus and self-isolate either at home or their hotel until they receive a negative result. Those testing positive are subject to quarantine at a government-designated hotel for 14 days and must complete a negative P.C.R. test before release. Travelers may be subject to further mandatory quarantine or self-isolation measures if other passengers on their flight test positive on arrival. Those entering the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which isn’t recognized by the United States, must have a negative test in the previous 72 hours and, if they are unvaccinated, quarantine for five days at their own expense. Children younger than 12 are exempt from testing. The C.D.C. risk assessment for Covid-19 is Level 4: Very high.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Arriving passengers are required to present a negative result from a P.C.R test taken no more than 48 hours before the start of their travels, or from an antigen test conducted in the previous 24 hours. Children under 12 are exempt from the pretest requirement, as are young people between 12 and 18 who have received two or more vaccine doses. Arriving passengers who are not vaccinated and who have not recovered from Covid-19 in the previous six months must also take a P.C.R. test between the fifth and seventh days after their arrival in the Czech Republic. Beginning Feb. 15, the Czech government will consider Covid-19 vaccinations to be valid for nine months following the date of the second dose; a booster shot will extend the validity indefinitely. Within the country, N95/FFP2 masks are required in taxis and on public transportation as well as in shops and airports. Proof of vaccination, recovery or a recent negative test is required to enter hotels and museums, among other establishments. The C.D.C. risk assessment for Covid-19 is Level 4: Very high.

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO

Travelers 11 and older must present a negative result from a Covid-19 test taken within three days of departure. Another test will be given on arrival and travelers must self-quarantine until they receive a negative result, generally within 24 hours. Before traveling, visitors should register their information and pre-pay the $45 for their on-arrival test at INRBCOVID.com. Visitors should also have proof of health and medical evacuation insurance and a certificate of yellow fever vaccination. To exit the country, travelers must present a negative test result taken within three days of planned departure, according to the U.S. Embassy in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The cost of the test is $30. The C.D.C. risk assessment for Covid-19 is Level 4: Very high.

DENMARK

Travelers who are fully vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19 are allowed to enter Denmark without testing or isolation. Unvaccinated travelers must undergo a test either before travel or within 24 hours of arrival. To qualify as fully vaccinated, travelers who have received only two doses of vaccine must have received the second dose within 270 days of their arrival in Denmark; those who have also received a booster dose face no time restriction. The C.D.C. risk assessment for Covid-19 is Level 4: Very high.
