“Owens disregarded all credible evidence disproving her claim in favor of platforming known conspiracy theorists and proven defamers. And rather than engage with President and Mrs. Macron’s attempts to set the record straight, Owens mocked them and used them as additional fodder for her frenzied fan base.”

The lawsuit focuses on the eight-part podcast collection “Becoming Brigitte,” helmed by Owens, which has greater than 2 million views on YouTube, in addition to X posts linked to it.

In accordance with the Macron household, the collection relies on “outlandish, defamatory, and far-fetched fictions” in regards to the Macrons, together with that the primary woman “was born a man, stole another person’s identity, and transitioned to become Brigitte.”

Owens has dissected their appearance, their marriage, their friends, their family, and their personal history—twisting it all into a grotesque narrative designed to inflame and degrade. The result is relentless bullying on a worldwide scale.”

The Macrons stated that confronted with this “relentless and unjustified smear campaign,” they have been “left with no choice but to seek relief … to set the record straight, prevent further harm, and hold Defendants accountable for their conduct.”
