Charles Shyer, the writer-director finest recognized for the “Father of the Bride” remake starring Steve Martin, has died.
Shyer died Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Middle in Los Angeles after a quick sickness, his daughter instructed media retailers.
The Oscar-nominated author and director teamed with then-wife Nancy Meyers for a number of traditional ’80s comedies … together with “Private Benjamin,” “Irreconcilable Differences,” and “Baby Boom.”
