Chinese language zoogoers are barking mad after studying the alleged pandas they visited on the Shanwei Zoo had been simply canine painted to appear to be the at-risk bears.
The deception was uncovered by guests after one of many so-called pandas started barking and panting like a canine, based on native media experiences.
Video footage of the painted-up pups then started to make the rounds on-line … which reveals 2 “pandas” roaming in regards to the enclosure, the place their curly tails are clearly seen.
At first, the zoo tried to bop across the allegations, claiming the apparent canine had been truly a breed of “panda dogs.”
As zoogoers and others on-line refused to just accept this declare, the zoo ultimately confessed the reality … that that they had simply dyed 2 Chow Chows — a fluffy canine breed widespread in China.
Unsurprisingly, duped guests responded to the revelation by demanding their a refund — and we do not blame them, FWIW.
This is not the primary time a zoo in China has tried to deceive guests by swapping out pandas for made-up Chow Chows. Again in Might, Taizhou Zoo admitted to pulling off a comparable scheme … although, they defended the ruse, saying the disguises had been the following greatest different they might provide up.
The Taizhou Zoo responded on the time … “There are no panda bears at the zoo and we wanted to do this as a result.”
So, the following time you are visiting a zoo, be looking out for impostors within the paddocks!
