The actress spoofed an iconic ad on Instagram.
Courteney Cox is getting real about the changes that happen to a woman’s body in her latest Instagram post.
Back in 1985, the actress was the face of a Tampax commercial where she raved about the tampon brand, but now, the 58-year-old put an updated spin on the commercial as she addressed menopause.
Cox took to Instagram on Sunday to share a spoof of the previous commercial where she jokingly talked about the natural process for a woman. The video cut back and forth between an 18-year-old Cox to her in the present-day as she spoke about the changes women experience as they get older.
The star even went as far as to recreate her look from the original commercial with a purple leotard and leg warmers, while also mimicking the exact gestures she made in the original video.
“Did your life completely change because of menopause?” Cox asked, following up with, “Still getting hot flashes? Let me tell it to ya straight.”
“Menopause will change the way you feel about getting older. Menopause will eat you alive. It’s horrible. Nothing else can do that,” she continued.
“Plus, you get the added bonus of drier skin, and getting bald patches,” she quipped. “Now that’s something.”
She ended the spoof by saying, “Remember, there is nothing good about menopause. It can actually change the way you feel about getting older.”
“My commercial needed an update,” she captioned the video.

Many fans and celebrity friends took to note how relatable the video is.
One fan wrote, “I didn’t think I could love you anymore… then you did this ????????”
Drew Barrymore even chimed in, writing, “@courteneycoxofficial you know it’s one of my favs”
Actress Angie Harmon also wrote, “???????????? I CANT!! ???????????????? it’s the f-ing WORST & this is the f-ing BEST!!”
It’s safe to say that these ladies can all agree that menopause is not a woman’s best friend!
