Former Dodgers star Julio Urias has simply been suspended for roughly half the 2025 season … after the MLB introduced the pitcher violated its home violence coverage.
Commissioner Rob Manfred revealed the punishment on Wednesday … almost two years after Urias was accused of roughing up his spouse exterior of BMO Stadium in Los Angeles following an LAFC vs. Inter Miami matchup.

“The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball has completed its investigation into allegations that free agent pitcher Julio Urías violated Major League Baseball’s Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy,” the commish mentioned in a press release.
“Having reviewed all of the available evidence, I have concluded that Mr. Urías violated our Policy and that discipline is appropriate.”
Urias — who sat out the entire 2024 season — shall be allowed to be reinstated from the restricted checklist on July 17, Manfred mentioned.
Urias was finally hit with 5 misdemeanor fees stemming from the September 2023 incident along with his spouse. He went on to plead no contest to 1 rely of misdemeanor home battery in Could 2024 … and the opposite 4 fees he was dealing with had been dropped.
Weeks after the case closed, video of the alleged altercation along with his spouse was launched — and it is disturbing.
Urias joined the Dodgers’ big-league roster in 2016 — and went on to assist them win a World Sequence in 2020. He grew to become a free agent after the ’23 season, and has but to throw one other pitch in The Present.
