American Airways passengers had a foul flight Thursday … when a fowl flew right into a jet engine turbine and induced an emergency touchdown — and, it was all caught on video.
Here is the deal … Flight 1722 took off from LaGuardia Airport in New York Metropolis Thursday — when a chicken nearly instantly flew headlong into the turbine, inflicting a minor fireball to seem on the aspect of the airplane.
Watch the clip … the chicken hurtles towards the jet and smacks into the engine — making an enormous thumping noise and seemingly inflicting engine pressure because the airplane pitches barely to the aspect.
No touchdown on the Hudson River right here, although … Flight 1722 made an emergency touchdown at NYC’s different main airport — John F. Kennedy Worldwide, a far cry from its meant vacation spot of Charlotte Douglas Worldwide Airport in North Carolina.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey stated the influence rendered the proper engine ineffective …. fortunately, the secondary engine kicked in.
American Airways launched an announcement in regards to the incident … saying there have been no accidents and thanking the crew for his or her professionalism throughout the troublesome flight.
