A trend boutique in Miami incorporates a one-of-a-kind facade due to Michael Chandler, artist and founding father of Cape City-based Chandler Home. He created a bespoke, hand-painted, nature-inspired tile set up with “May all the doors of the world always be open to you” showing on a ribbon floating above the entryway. A big tree unfurls all through the composition, bedecked with myriad birds, flowers, and a silhouetted climber.
The undertaking started with a easy e-mail inquiry from the Cult Gaia model. “We almost didn’t take it seriously because it was so wild,” Chandler tells Colossal. “But we had a Zoom chat or two, exchanged emails, and before I knew it, I was laying out tiles and covering them with brilliant, blue brush marks!” He labored on the undertaking in sections, fastidiously numbering and mapping each bit so the composition might be simply put in on the outside of the constructing.
